VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR  - APPROPRIATE ADULTS

2006 - 2013

I worked as a coordinator running an Appropriate Adult Scheme for the local charity in Royal borough of Kingston upon Thames. My role was responsible for developing and implementing a meaningful volunteer program.

This was done by recruiting , interviewing , selecting ,  training , placing , supervising , motivating , and evaluating  volunteers, I believe a coordinator should also be responsible for public relations, publicity, funding, budgeting and record keeping and is requires work in both the organization and the community.

Furthermore liaising between the organization and the community, is paramount, in order to be effective volunteer program. I was also a trustee and broad member with the National Appropriate Adult Network. I subsequently left the post in 2013

I now run and develop training serminars' to train people to act as appropriate adults at local police stations
